Congressman French Hill Statement on Fed Interest Rate Hike

WASHINGTON Today, after the Federal Reserve announced its decision to raise interest rates, Congressman French Hill (AR-2) released the below statement:

“Today’s decision by the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates for the first time in 2016—and just the second time since 2006—is a delayed move considering the increase in market interest rates over the past four months. The Federal Reserve needs to develop a more rules-based approach to monetary policy, such as that contained in the Financial Choice Act, to prevent ambiguity and unpredictability in future decisions.”
