Congressman French Hill Supports Arkansas Service Members and Families

WASHINGTON – Congressman French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after voting to fund the Department of Defense for the fiscal year 2018:

“Today’s vote in the House to fully fund the Department of Defense will directly benefit Arkansas families through a 2.4 percent pay raise for our troops, enhanced programs to support our military families, and additional funds for cutting-edge defense technology. The House has voted three times now to fund these priorities without action in the Senate. Our Armed Forces need the tools and resources to respond to the unprecedented national security threats both home and abroad, and we call on our colleagues in the Senate to take this consensus bill up and pass it.”
