Conway Log Cabin Reports: Registered Sex Offender Arrested for Alleged Assault

Conway – A Faulkner County registered sex offender has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a young teen boy.

Ismael Paul Martinez, 44, of 2 Brazier Lane (on the Lake Conway peninsula), moved to Faulkner County and registered as a sex offender in July 2008, about two months after he was found guilty of 200 counts possession of child pornography by a Los Angeles jury, according to Maj. Andy Shock of the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.

He was arrested Wednesday morning after FCSO Sgt. Joni Danielson’s investigation into the claims of the teen, who is an acquaintance of Martinez, resulted in the man being called in for an interview. He was arrested after the interview.
