Governor Mike Beebe will announce the expansion project at the Newark mill and Batesville plant. Peco Foods, with the aid of a $175,000 local incentive grant from the Independence County Economic Development Commission, invested $13.8 million in the project. AEDC has awarded Peco Foods a $485,000 grant for this project.
The expansion project in conjunction with the County’s investment and the Economic Development Commission grant is projected to create 300 new jobs by March 1st of 2013.
