Griffin Announces Facebook Workshop for Small Businesses Oct.19th

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) announced today that representatives from Facebook will host a free training session for small businesses in Arkansas:

“Job creation remains one of my top priorities, and I’m always looking for ways to help Arkansas’s job creators build their businesses and hire more employees,” Griffin said.  “That’s why I’m excited to announce that specialists from the global leader in social media, Facebook, will be in Little Rock on October 19 to offer free advice.  I’d encourage anyone who runs a small business and wants to learn more about how to utilize Facebook to sign up for this free event.”

Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jay Chesshir praised today’s announcement, saying it will help Arkansas small businesses reach new customers.

“Facebook is a valuable path to consumers for our business community,” Chesshir said.  “It’s vital that businesses in our region apply best practices and informed strategies to use all social media to reach customers and potential new customers.”

During the October 19 session, Facebook representatives will teach small business owners how to connect most effectively online and to build a community around their pages.  They will also explain how to reach new customers among Facebook’s one billion users.  While this event is free, space is limited and registration is required.  Please visit http://on.fb.me/smbboost for more information on how to register for the event.
