Griffin Named to Foreign Affairs Committee

WASHINGTON – Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after being selected to serve on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs for the 112th Congress:

“I am humbled to have the opportunity to continue the tradition of Arkansans serving on the Foreign Affairs committee. I am honored and excited to work on important issues such as deployment and use of our military, promotion of democracy and human rights, advancement of international peace and stability, and control of illegal narcotics.”

Griffin follows several Arkansans who previously served on the committee, including former Sen. J. William Fulbright who served while a Member of the House during the 78th Congress. Former Third District Rep. John Boozman and current Fourth District Rep. Mike Ross served on the committee during the 111th Congress.
