Harding University Family Life Education Program Approval Renewed

The National Council on Family Relations has renewed the approval of Harding University’s family life education undergraduate program in the department of family and consumer sciences as meeting the standards and criteria required for the provisional certified family life educator designation.

The academic program review committee conducts a review every five years based on program documents submitted by the University’s FCS department. The family life education undergraduate program at Harding has maintained continuous approval through the curriculum review process since its initial approval in 2003.

The University’s program challenges students to enrich and improve the quality of individual and family life through organized efforts to provide people with information, skills, experiences and resources necessary for the challenges they face. Family life educators bring family research and best practices to individuals, couples, families and parents via an educational approach in an effort to build strengths and avert problems.

Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas with 6,815 students and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France, Greece, Italy and Zambia. For more information visit www.harding.edu.
