Hoedown 27 Years of Entertainment with a Free Night Kickoff

There’s real excitement at Cash’s White River Hoedown, in Mountain View, Arkansas, for 2011 season! Each weekend will feature special guests, such as Matthew Huff from Conway, an up and coming country star who has already has a song on the top 40 charts. Just to name a few, also featured will be Scotty Branscum, Jason Plummer, Randy Holland, Carl Acuff Jr., Jana King (the lead singer for Mickey Gilley), and Donna Morris, from Nashville Now Show. There will be many others who want to get their foot in the music entertainment door.

In addition to the special guests, the shows band members are said to be some of the best in the country. Sandra Rhodes sings and plays lead guitar; Brenda Barnett, emcee, singer and bass player; Zindel Raney, keyboards; and new for the 2011 season is drummer Tom Arnold, a world class drummer from Lake Tahoe, Nevada. You will be entertained with everything from country music, pop and rock, gospel, patriotic, and a mix from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

Cash’s White River Hoedown, owned by Jim and Pat Cash, is a favorite weekend spot for visitors, many of which return year after year. The show is two hours of fun packed family entertainment featuring comedian Pat Cash, who is returning for the 27th season as ‘Aunt Minnie Miles’, joined by her sister ‘Lotta Miles’, and grandson D.J. Binnie. D.J. is only 17 and a natural comedian who will keep you laughing.

The 2011 season starts off with a free show April 2nd, in appreciation for the support shown by the surrounding communities and visitors over the last 27 years. Fiddler, Scotty Branscum, who appeared on the show 27 years ago, is the special guest for the opening season show. The season continues weekends through December 10th. Tickets are $18, including tax, for adults; ages six through 16 are $5.00; and five and under are free. Season passes and group rates are available.
