Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 northbound lanes in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties requires lane closures, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Beginning Monday, February 6, crews will remove existing pavement markings, install a temporary barrier wall along the outside shoulder and restripe pavement on U.S. Highway 67 northbound lanes from south of Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11A) in Jacksonville and State Highway 5 in Cabot (Exit 16B). The inside and outside lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 67 will alternately be closed to allow for construction.
The lane closures will be in affect from Monday, February 6 through Friday, February 10, beginning each evening at 8:00 p.m. and continuing through to 1:00 p.m. the following afternoon, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using signage and barrels.
The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.
This project (Job CA0605) is part of AHTD’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot.
