2009 BJ Jimenez Biography1

Vocalist, pianist, songwriter, composer, arranger, BJ Jiménez, is a natural talent that stands out among today’s music industry, evident in her powerful, soaring vocals, piano finesse and versatile repertoire. Her career has spanned decades in the music business. A stellar mark in her career: she gladly accepted an invitation to provide a private performance for the world-renowned opera star, Luciano Pavarotti. Jiménez has enjoyed repeat performances as guest artist with “The Nashville Symphony”, “The Arkansas Delta Symphony”, “The Louisiana Philharmonic” and “The Gainesville Community Band”. Some of the venues showcasing her talent have been “The Schermerhorn Symphony Center”, Nashville, Tennessee; “The Philips Center for the Performing Arts”, Gainesville, Florida; “The Fowler Center” and “The Forum”, Jonesboro, Arkansas. The diversity of BJ’s talent is evident in just some of her many of her collaborators: Conductor, orchestral arranger and producer Ronn Huff; “The Little River Band”; “The Dixie Cups”; David Hungate of “Toto” fame; Ronnie Milsap; Nashville’s hit songwriter/producer team Chater & Gillespie; “Miss America, Elizabeth Ward”; producer and drummer Kenneth Buttery; “Alabama”; “The Oak Ridge Boys” and more.

At the early age of four, BJ was singing and playing piano. By fifteen, Jiménez was working as a vocalist and pianist in theater, television, radio, recording studios and live performances throughout the mid-south. Eventually following an invitation to Nashville, Tennessee, she ultimately worked an unforgiving performance schedule and established herself as a professional in the music business industry. An avid supporter of fundraising for worthy causes, Jiménez believes in her community. With her timeless classics from Irving Berlin to Nat King Cole; The Beatles to Sarah Brightman; George and Ira Gershwin to Andrew Lloyd Webber, BJ Jiménez mesmerizes audiences, brings an impressive show and takes all who attend on a memorable musical journey. BJ’s engaging stage presence and crowd-pleasing humor leave her listeners always wanting more.
