The official dedication ceremony for the U.S. Highway 70 (Broadway) Bridge over the Arkansas River has been scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 2017, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The ceremony will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Dickey-Stephens parking lot. Access to the dedication area will be from Riverfront Drive. AHTD Director Scott Bennett, Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola, North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith, and Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde will speak before the bridge is commissioned with a military ceremony.
This is also opening day for the Arkansas Travelers, which will begin at 7:00 p.m.
