Rapert: ‘Saddened’ by concerted effort to destroy Arkansas energy jobs

State Senator Jason Rapert (R-Conway), Chairman of the Fayetteville Shale Caucus, today issued the following statement denouncing the Obama administration’s decision to reject the Keystone XL pipeline:

“President Obama has put his desire to save his own job ahead of the needs of hundreds of Arkansas workers that are directly affected by the rejection of Keystone.  Energy-related jobs have kept our state’s unemployment rate from reaching higher levels.  I am saddened to see the concerted effort put forth by the president and others to destroy the energy-related jobs being created here in Arkansas, as well as those who enable this destruction by their silence.”
