Reconstruction of a section of I-440 requires lane closures from the Arkansas River to the I-40 interchange, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
On Friday, February 17, between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday morning westbound traffic on I-440 will be reduced to one lane. This closure will allow contractors to replace lane markings in preparation for a traffic shift.
Traffic will be controlled using advance warning signs and traffic drums. This project is expected to be complete late 2017, weather permitting.
