Safety Improvements to I-630 / I-30 Interchange Ramps Require Closures

Repairs to the High Friction Safety Treatments (HFST) on ramps carrying traffic between Interstate 630 and Interstate 30 require the ramps to be temporarily closed while the work is being performed, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation (AHTD) officials.

Friday, June 9 and Sunday, June 11 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following mornings, one lane of the ramp carrying traffic from eastbound I-630 (Exit 139A) to westbound I-30 will be closed. The two lanes will alternately close as work progresses.

Traffic will be controlled using warning signs and traffic drums. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @AHTD.
