U.S. Senator Mark Pryor Named Vice Chair of Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus

U.S. Senator Mark Pryor today announced that he has been named Vice Chair of the Congressional Sportmen’s Caucus, a bipartisan group dedicated to protecting the interests of America’s hunters, anglers, and trappers.

“In addition to being favorite pastimes, hunting and fishing are also vital industries to our state’s economy,” Pryor said. “I’m honored to be named Vice Chair of the Sportsmen’s Caucus and I look forward to working with other members of Congress to support Arkansas sportsmen and encourage the conservation of our state’s outdoor areas.”

Jeff Crane, President of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation stated, “I want to thank Senator Pryor for assuming a leadership position in the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC). As this Congresses’ new Democratic CSC Vice-Chair, we look forward to working with Senator Pryor and other CSC leadership in advancing pro-sportsmen’s policies.”

Established in 1989, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus now includes more than 300 members of Congress from all 50 states. According to Pryor, sportsmen spend approximately $1.4 billion annually and support 28,000 jobs in Arkansas alone. As Vice Chair, Pryor will advocate for policies that benefit Arkansas’s 551,000 hunters and anglers.a
