Updated list for collecting items for the tornadoes relief

After the deadly tornado that ripped through Arkansas last night, many people are looking for ways to help. We’ve compiled this list and will continue to update is as we receive new information. If you have something you would like to pass along, e-mail kffbevent@gmail.com

Antioch Baptist Church

  • Accepting Volunteers to help with on site shelter for tornado victims. Call 501-329-5153 for more information.

Arkansas State Baptist Convention

Arkansas Dream Center

  • Accepting donations and offering resources for on site volunteer needs. Visit: http://www.ardreamcenter.tv/fundraisers/tornado/ for more information.

Bad Boy Mowers in Batesville

  • Bad Boy Mowers is set up in Batesville on Main Street in front of Kroger with a truck collecting items for the tornadoes relief. Items needed: water, canned food, baby items, etc. For more information, call 870-805-0798.

Beryl Baptist (Vilonia) Red Cross Shelter and a Volunteer Point

  • Taking donations of non perishable food items, new personal and feminine hygiene products, and water. Please contact Beryl Baptist Office directly at (501) 796-3911 for questions.

Boys and Girls Club in Bryant

  • Collecting donations of non-perishables, water, clothing. Drop off between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

City of Cave City

  • Cave City is collecting donations of bottled water, non-perishable food, diapers and wipes, batteries, etc. for tornado relief. Items can be brought to City Hall, 120 E. Spring St. We will take everything down on friday and deliver it to relief centers in the Vilonia / Mayflower area.

Golden Outdoors in Heber Springs

  • Accepting donations of water, work gloves, blankets, flashlights, etc.

Holiday Inn Express in Maumelle

  • Accepting donations to help victims

Holiday Inn Express in Morrilton

  • Accepting donations to help victims.

Irvin Medical Clinic

  • Accepting donations of  tarps, 1×4 lumber, nails, ladders, bottled water.

Mayflower Middle/High School

  • Accepting donations of blankets, cots, pillows and snacks.

North Little Rock Apostolic Church

  • Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, you can help Apostolic “Stuff the Truck” by bringing donations of tarps, flashlights, batteries, hand sanitizer, non-perishable food items, gloves, toiletries, chainsaws, blankets and bottled water. For more information about donations or how you can help, please call the church at 501-945-2655.

Ozark Folk Center

  • Drop off point for donating relief supplies.

Pitza 42

  • Donation drop box located at front counter.

Red Cross

  • The Red Cross is accepting donations at its website or by texting “red cross” to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Charges will apply to your next cell phone bill. Donations can be made to the Salvation Army at their website or at (800) 725-2769. You can also text “STORM” to 80888 for a $10 donation.

Regions Bank in Conway (Downtown Location)

  • Drop off location for the following needs: Water, Flash Lights/batteries , Small packaged snacks.

Regions Bank in Clinton & Fairfield Bay

  • Drop off location for the following needs: Water, Falsh Lights/batteries, Small packaged snacks.

Rhea Lana’s

  • Drop off location TODAY ONLY (4/30) at the Corporate Headquarters in Conway. Needs: Rubber Totes with Lids, Hevy Duty Trash Bags,  Sunscreen, Work Gloves, Baby Items (diapers, wipes, baby food, formula, etc), Toiletries, Blankets/Bedding, Chapstick, etc.

Salvation Army

  • Salvation Army: https://donate.salvationarmyusa.org/uss/arkansastornados  or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769). You can also text the word “STORM” to 80888 to make a $10 donation through your mobile phone; to confirm your gift, respond with the word “Yes.”*

Second Baptist Church (new location off Dave Ward Drive)

  • Accepting donations of Non-perishable items, diapers, baby wipes, paper products, etc.

TD Building Supply in Mountain View

  • Drop off point for relief supplies.

United Way of Central Arkansas

  • United Way of Central Arkansas will be collecting cash donations and supplies for the victims of the tornado. Please drop off any form of donation to our office at 1120 Oak St in Downtown Conway. If you have any questions please call us at 501-327-5087.

NOTICE: From KARK 4 News: “NOTE: Good Morning KARK. My name is Erin Hathorn, I am the account manager at Hoyt’s Ag Parts & Supply. We carry generators and chainsaws. I know that we can not get to Vilonia or Mayflower, but if you could get the word out that anyone can use these free of charge, we have many generators and chainsaws, we can help, our phone number 501-477-2300″.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: Expect delays along I-40.

Free Emergency Wi-Fi:

Verizon Wireless is providing device-charing stations for those affected in Mayflower and Vilonia, in addition to first responders. The stations also have on-site emergency phones and Wi-Fi capability.The stations are located at:

  • Mayflower Middle School at 10 Leslie King Drive
  • Plantation Acres Subdivision in Mayflower
  • Vilonia City Hall at 18 Bise Street
  • Beryl Baptist Church at 873 U.S. 64 B in Vilonia
  •  Wal-Mart at 1155 Skyline Drive in Conway
  • Best Buy at 600 Elsinger Blvd. in Conway

Several shelters have been set up for those most impacted by Sunday night’s storms. The following locations are open:

Mayflower High School Gym: 10 Leslie King Drive

Beryl Baptist Church: 873 U.S. 64 in Vilonia

Arkansas District Pentecostal Church of God: Vilonia

Antioch Baptist Church: 150 Amity Road in Conway

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church: 1115 College Ave. in Conway

Oak Bowery Baptist Church: 889 Otto Road in Conway

Point of Grace: 767 U.S. 64 B in Conway-Vilonia area

In Pulaski County, the Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center, at 1720 Ferncliff Rd., is also opened as a shelter.
