Governor Asa Hutchinson and Secretary Smith Confirm 77 New Cases of COVID-19 for a Total of 1023 Confirmed Cases in Arkansas as of 1:30 pm as of April 8, 2020.
A total of Eighteen (18) Total Deaths and 4 Deaths from Cleburne County, 1 Death from Conway County, 1 Death in Crittenden County, 1 Death in Faulkner County, 1 Death in Jefferson County, 1 Death in Lawrence County, 7 Deaths in Pulaski County, 1 Death in Saline County, and 1 Death from Van Buren County.
At the time of this press Conference, the total was 1023 (147 are health care workers), it breaks out as 21 children under the age of 24, 69 age 18-24, 310 age 25-44, 368 age 45-64, 252 over 65, (57.5% are women, 42.5% are men) and 76 Hospitalized, 30 ICU Patients and 68 are in nursing homes. 208 people have recovered. The state’s death toll now stands at 18. Of the Total Deaths, there were 14 over 65, 4 under 65 according to Dr. Nate Smith with the Arkansas Department of Health.
