41st Annual March for Life

The 41st Annual March for Life will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Little Rock at 2:00 p.m. The observance is a peaceful and prayerful event that attracts thousands of Arkansans from across the state including churches and families to remember the estimated 60 million unborn children who have been killed by legal abortion.

This event, sponsored by Arkansas Right to Life, will remember the 46th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States on January 22, 1973.
Staging begins at 1:30 p.m. between Battery and Wolfe Streets on West Capitol Avenue behind the Arkansas State Capitol. At 2:00 p.m. President Andy Mayberry will lead the marchers along with elected officials, invited dignitaries and others special guests to the steps of the State Capitol for a brief program.

The keynote speakers will be Courtney Beck, who obtained an abortion by judicial bypass of the Arkansas Parental Notification law and Christa Brown, the coordinator of the Abortion Pill Rescue program for Heartbeat International.

Other participants in the program will be Reverend Dave Hughey Pastor of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church and Reverend Iverson Jackson Pastor of Zoe Bible Church in Little Rock.

“While we welcome the declining abortion rate in our state and across America, we remember those lives lost over the last 45 years and continue in our support of those who have been forever wounded by an abortion decision, said Rose Mimms, executive director. “As we work to change hearts and minds, we are committed to an educational campaign on the Abortion Pill Rescue program that offers Abortion Pill Reversal treatment for those women who choose medication abortion and then change their mind before completing the abortion. This campaign along with legislation will ensure women who obtain medication abortion and change their mind have a chance to rescue their child,” said Mimms.

Arkansas Right to Life, the state’s oldest and largest pro-life organization, is an affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee, the leading voice of the voiceless dedicated to protecting all human beings threatened by abortion, infanticide and euthanasia.
