6th Annual Artoberfest

The Batesville Area Arts Council hosted the 6th Annual Artoberfest, in combination with Main Street’s second Nightmare on Main Street Parade, Saturday, October 22. The festival featured over 40 local and regional artists and makers, a tie-dye t-shirt station, and live music by Ed Casper, Luke Middleton, and the Osage Water Band. The festival also included a sidewalk chalk art competition and a coloring contest for kids of all ages. 

The winners of the 2022 Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest for K – 6th Grade include, 1st Place: Carli Hubbard, 2nd Place: Milly Crow, 3rd Place: Tyson Williams.  The Junior High – College age winners include, 1st Place: Autumn Babb, 2nd Place: Cloey Miller, 3rd Place: Madelynne Appleget. 

Students in grades K through 12th grade participated in the Artoberfest Coloring Contest, and the 1st place winners in three grade categories were chosen by votes on our Facebook page. Coloring Contest winners included: Avery Henley (12th grade), Kalila Dixon (6th grade), and Scarlett Liles (2nd grade). 
We hope the community enjoyed this year’s Artoberfest and we look forward to the continued growth of this event each year! This year’s festival was presented by Citizens Bank and sponsored by First Community Bank, Southern Bank, and Bank of Cave City.
