AHC Approves Bid for Improvements in Faulkner and Van Buren Counties

FAULKNER & VAN BUREN COUNTIES (3-10) – The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Faulkner & Van Buren Counties, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 2.2 miles of various city streets in Damascus, to include: Oak Tree Rd., North Rd., Firestation St., Carrell Cir., Lewis Dr., and Payne St.; 1.9 miles of various city streets in Greenbriar, to include: Wilson Farm Rd., Mitchell Cir., Mallori Ln. and Briarwood St.; and 2.2 miles of various city streets in Guy, to include: Post Office Dr., W Church St., Oak Ln., Pine St., Noland Little Rd., Belle Dr., and S. Bolden Hill Rd. Rogers Group, Inc. of Nashville, TN was awarded the contract at $514,402.82.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2017.
