Anne Strawn of Fairfield Bay received the Jacqui Kaucher 1st Timer Award and a $250 check at the Mid-Southern Watercolorists 40th Annual Juried Exhibition on June 11 in Little Rock. Bob Snider, MSW President, presented Strawn with the award at the reception held at Arkansas Studies Institute, where the exhibit of 40 juried paintings will remain until August 28.
Twenty paintings were selected for the Arkansas Arts Center’s Traveling Exhibition program. Among those twenty were Strawn’s work and also a painting by local artist Joyce Hartmann of Choctaw. They will travel and be exhibited throughout Arkansas for a year.
