Annual Dulcimer Workshops at Ozark Folk Center State Park

The Ozark Folk Center State Park hosts the Annual Mountain Dulcimer workshop July 23-25 and Hammered Dulcimer workshop July 30-August 1.

Classes are offered for all levels of play. The registration fees cover all workshops as well as admission to the Craft Village and nightly concerts over the three day event. Registration is $200 for all three days or $75 per day. Registrations can also be taken the first day of each workshop.

“We are excited to have a great line up of instructors and performers again this year” said Music Director, Daren Dortin.

The Mountain Dulcimer performers and instructors are Bing Futch, Jack and Mary Giger, Lee Cagle and the 2014 National Dulcimer Champion, Duane Porterfield. Hammered Dulcimer performers and instructors are Joe Jewell, Rick Thum, Linda Thomas and Ilace Mears.
The Ozark Folk Center State Park is located at 1032 Park Avenue in Mountain View. Follow the signs to the Ozark Folk Center State Park, less than a mile from the Courthouse Square in downtown Mountain View. The park may also be reached by taking Hwy 5/9/14 (Sylamore Ave) to Jimmy Driftwood Parkway, which leads directly to the park entrance.
