Arkansas Food Banks to Benefit from Greenway Equipment, and Jason Aldean Partnership

For the third consecutive year, Greenway Equipment and Jason Aldean are teaming up for an equipment giveaway as a fundraiser to benefit local food banks. The partnership will run until the drawing on April 9th and will give away a John Deere Gator and zero-turn mower Aldean used on his property near Nashville.
Proceeds from the promotion will benefit weekend backpack programs at the Arkansas Food Bank in Little Rock, Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro, and Southeast Missouri Food Bank in Sikeston. Together, the three food banks feed 4,600 children through their backpack programs, which send food home with deserving children each weekend. 1 in 4 local children are at risk for hunger, but $150 can provide a Backpack of food every weekend for one child for an entire school year.
“The backpack program serves one of our more vulnerable and precious resources: children,” said Marshall Stewart, Greenway CEO. “This program provides food for local hungry children on the weekend when other resources, such as school meals, are not available. In fact, 25% of our local kids are at risk of food insecurity. For many of these children, school meals may be their only source of food.”
The drawings will be held virtually on April 9. The first individual drawn will have his/her choice between the Gator and mower. The second individual draw will win the remaining piece of equipment. A $10 donation is requested for each entry*. Entries can be made through April 8 at any Greenway location or by texting “GoBackpack” to 44321. Entries can also be made by scanning the QR code below.
“Arkansas Foodbank is thrilled to be one of three food banks receiving backpack program support in central and southern Arkansas,” said Rhonda Sanders, Arkansas Foodbank CEO. “Last year, we distributed nearly 100,000 backpacks to children facing hunger, and this contribution from Greenway and Jason Aldean will help us continue feeding students in 2021.”
Winner is responsible for freight/pickup and must pay taxes on equipment. For any questions about this fundraiser, please email kscott@gogreenway.com.
