Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Sharp County

SHARP COUNTY (1-28) – The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Sharp County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials. The purpose of this project is to resurface 13.1 miles of Highway 167 starting at Cave City and traveling northward.

Atlas Asphalt, Inc. of Batesville was awarded the contract at $3,493,356.20. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid 2021.
