Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in White County

WHITE COUNTY (3-10) – The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in White County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 1.9 miles of various city streets in Garner, to include: Main, Greenwood Ave., and Morris Dr.; 2.1 miles of various city streets in Rose Bud, to include: Valley View Rd., and Bethesda Rd.; and 1.7 miles of various city streets in Russell, to include: Main St., Elm St., E. Vine, SE 3rd, 2nd St., and Old Russell Rd.

Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, Inc. of Paragould was awarded the contract at $636,094.32. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2017.
