Arkansas Media Kit 2012 now available

Did you know there’s one location to find out about all the great events going on in Arkansas this year? How about a single location for news about attractions around the Natural State?

It’s all right at your fingertips in the Arkansas Media Room. Updated for 2012, the Media Kit contains story-generating ideas for journalists and important points for Arkansas business owners who want to share our state with visitors and guests.

Head over to the Arkansas Media Room (www.arkansasmediaroom.com) and click on Media Kit for a package of stories and information. You’ll find Destination Delta – twelve things you should do in the Delta in 2012. Find out why car enthusiasts will be headed to Texarkana this spring to re-enact Smokey and the Bandit. Learn how you can visit P. Allen Smith’s Moss Mountain Farm, how to capture your childhood with an adult play date (but feel free to also bring along the kids) in downtown Little Rock and see why Crystal Bridges is going to be the hottest destination for art lovers this year.

The packet also contains information on what’s new in Arkansas in 2012, where you can find the hottest attractions and how you can explore the music of eastern Arkansas.

While you’re at it, discover more about our shared history by flipping through some of the big anniversaries going on in our state this year. It’s the 40th year for Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro and for the Buffalo National River. The Arkansas Folk Festival and the Arkansas Craft Guild both celebrate 50 years, , and 2012 marks 150 years since the battle of Prairie Grove. Find out what events are being scheduled for these anniversaries, and how you can participate.

There’s a whole lot to enjoy all over the Natural State. Educate yourself with our Media Kit and See Arkansas First. For more information, contact Kat Robinson, Communications Manager with the Department of Tourism, at (501) 682-7606 or by email at kat.robinson@arkansas.gov.
