Batesville (June , 2010) – The Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch has partnered with Luke 4:18 Ministries to open a new and improved thrift store in the Batesville community. It will be in the same location as the previous Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch thrift store on North Central Avenue in the Westside area.
The Grand Opening will be on June 18 at 10am. Food and refreshments will be provided. There will also be door prizes. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 9:30-5:30 and Saturday 8-2.
The women of Luke 4:18 have been hard at work reorganizing and updating inventory. They have also cleaned and freshened up the interior of the building. The children from the Ranch have been hard at work scraping the outside and painting so we have the freshest start possible.
The partnership between the two charities will benefit both causes because it allows individuals from both situations to see the impact that drugs, alcohol and abuse have on everyone in a family. Luke 4:18 Ministries believes in “Putting Christ in the Center of Broken Hearts and Broken Lives” while the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch stands for preventing child abuse and neglect by creating safe, healthy and permanent home for children.
