Author of: Life in the Wilderness, to be in Clinton

Clinton, AR—May 12, 2010– With millions experiencing extended unemployment, Len M. Allen confronts the emotional and spiritual issues of getting through the wilderness of joblessness in his new book Unemployed: Life in the Wilderness. Right now the average time of being unemployed is six (6) months, which has a human toll in self-doubt, financial distress, and re-evaluation of life before working again. Len will be signing books at The Bookworm book store at 1303 Highway 65 S # 8 Clinton, AR 72031 on May 14, 2010 from 3-6PM.

Len frankly discusses eight distinct issues that are faced by the unemployed, and each one teaches how to survive the desperation and despair of joblessness, which correlates to traveling alone through a desert wasteland. Unemployed: Life in the Wilderness is a practical guide for job seekers who are confused, lonely and frustrated. This book is great for personal reading and for group studies as more churches minister to the long term unemployed.

“Len presents his experiences with unusual authenticity, relating them with principles and truths from God’s Word that applies across all of life, using unemployment as one example of the many struggles that we all face. A great resource for anyone in the wilderness of life;” remarks Mike Martin of Chattanooga, TN

For over 30 years, Len was an advertising professional in radio, television, and newspapers. He then went on to work as the Advertising Director at large retail chains in Tennessee, New Mexico, and Texas.

In his second career, Len served as Pastor in Dallas and El Paso, Texas. He has been working and speaking to various unemployment ministries for a number of years, which was the genesis for the book.

His first book, Unemployed: Life in the Wilderness is definitely a book for these times.
