BACC to Hold Groundbreaking for Independence County Senior Citizens Program’s Senior Center

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Groundbreaking ceremony for Independence County Senior Citizens Program’s new Senior Center in Batesville. The Groundbreaking will occur at 950 Elm Street in Batesville on Wednesday, June 28th, at 10 a.m.

The mission of the Independence County Senior Citizens Program is to provide services that enable seniors aged 60 or older to maintain their dignity and independence in the least restrictive environment possible, to provide services that promote wellness, and to instill in its participants a lasting sense of self-worth. Their services include meal service and delivery, transportation, and social and wellness events. 

The new modern facility being built will enable Independence County Senior Citizens Program to increase their services to seniors including expanded wellness activities and programming, and the ability to offer simultaneous events and activities. 

All community supporters, chamber members, ambassadors, board members, and staff are invited to attend.
