Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce Writes Grant on Behalf of Batesville School District

BatesvillThe Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has successfully written a grant on behalf of the Batesville School District.  The grant was written as part of the chamber’s grant writing contract with the City of Batesville.  The district will receive grant funding in the amount of $44,000 for sidewalk infrastructure from the Arkansas Safe Routes to School Program.  The Batesville School District will use the funding for sidewalk reconstruction and to add to the existing sidewalk and crosswalk inventory surrounding Central Magnet Elementary School.

 

The Arkansas Safe Routes to School program is a 100% federal aid program administered by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.  The program provides funding to for projects and programs that benefit school children in grades k-8.
