Batesville Area Chamber Releases Business License Ordinance Survey

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has released a survey concerning  the business license requirement ordinance recently proposed by the  City of Batesville’s City Council.  According to the proposal,  “The ordinance would amend the [current] Batesville code by enacting  a chapter to create a business registry and to require annual business  licenses for all businesses and non-profits with locations within Batesville.”

Part of the chamber’s mission is providing advocacy for local businesses,  and it wants to know how the business community feels the proposed ordinance  would affect local business.  The chamber will present the results  of the survey at the next city council meeting.

To access the survey, visit http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e7wilwcqhjlo56xv/start or visit the Batesville  Area Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook cite.  If you would rather  voice your opinion or respond to the survey via telephone, contact the  chamber at 870-793-2378.
