Batesville Chamber Announces Independence County Lights Campaign Winners

December 11th, 2012 – The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce and Home Depot of Batesville have partnered to present the First Annual Independence County Lights lighting competition. The program is intended to promote regional tourism in Independence County. Mandi Curtwright, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce Member Relations Director, said “Over the holiday season we hope to capture additional tourism dollars of those visiting our community for the lighting displays we have to offer”. The City of Batesville has displayed approximately 800,000 lights throughout Main Street, the Independence County Courthouse, the Municipal Building, and Riverside Park and is an award winner for the Arkansas State Holiday Trail of Lights.

The competition showcases winners with the most impressive lighting displays of homes, businesses, and public properties within Independence County. A map and list of winners are available at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Best Street Division Winner – Main Street Batesville

Business Division Winner – First Community Bank Main Branch

Animated Division Winner – 3135 Shade Tree Drive

Best of Show Division Winner – 667 Eagle Mountain Boulevard
