Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement after the Senate confirmed Michael Platt, Jr. to serve as Assistant Secretary for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Commerce:

His experience working for, and with, Congress over the past twenty years gives him a unique perspective on the inner-workings of the House and Senate and his time off the Hill has allowed an appreciation for how the private sector interacts with government. I congratulate him on his confirmation and look forward to working with him to advance an agenda that will foster economic growth in Arkansas and across the nation.”
