BRIDGE WORK ON HIGHWAY 25 ACROSS GREERS FERRY DAM TO BEGIN IN MAY

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark., April 17 – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin routine maintenance work on the Highway 25 Bridge across the Greers Ferry Dam starting May 5. This work will take approximately 30 days to complete. Traffic will be restricted to one lane between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily to ease the work being done and make it safer for the workers.

The Corps asks that the public be patient when traveling this route because traffic delays can be expected as the flow of traffic alternates across the dam. Please drive slowly as workers and machinery will be present during these work hours.

People with questions about the Greers Ferry bridge work or the high water conditions at the lake should call the Greers Ferry Project Office at (501) 362-2416, or stop by the office located near the dam on Highway 25, three miles north of Heber Springs.
