Christian Contemporary Music Night

We Arise Missions, First Freewill Baptist Church of Cave City and Ozarka College are teaming up to bring a night of Contemporary Christian Music and Worship to Melbourne, Arkansas. On Friday, March 13, the John E. Miller Auditorium will come alive with rock-n-roll and the Rock of Ages as three shining stars of the Christian Music genre take the stage for a fundraiser concert on behalf of a 14-member mission team planning to travel to Costa Rica this May. Melbourne will be the second stop for the Start a Fire Tour which consists of the band Unspoken, JJ Weeks Band and pop singer Jonny Diaz.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the We Arise Missions trip headed up by Youth Pastors Bret and Kylee Morris. The 14-member group will travel to San Jose, Costa Rica on May 23 and return on May 31. Kylee explained that they have a diverse team. “The youngest is nine years old and the oldest is 60.” The group will take a food bus through the poor areas, feeding children in need. “We also work with the youth in a church up in the mountains,” she said. “And we plan to put on a one-day VBS style carnival for the children.” The show begins at 7 p.m. at the John E. Miller Auditorium on the Ozarka Campus at Melbourne. Tickets are available at the Lemon Tree Boutique, or at www.itickets.com.
