Title: Cleburne County Shooting Club Pistol Pistol match June 16
Location: Range is located on the Hwy 5/25 by-pass South of Heber Springs.)
Description: Place: Cleburne County Shooting Club Pistol Range, Heber Springs, AR 72543 (Approximately 400 yards East of the South Business 25 exit.
Start time: 9 AM for first relay. Additional relays if required will follow.
Entry Fee: $5.00. Competitors do not need to be club members to participate.
NRA rules will apply with the exception that shooters may use both hands if desired. No artificial support is authorized. Scoped or iron sights are authorized. All firearms must be a Cal .22 revolver or auto loading pistol capable of holding five (5) rounds in the cylinder or magazine. All competitors must have and wear eye and hearing protection while shooting. Competitors will score each other. Scoring aids will only be used by the range officers.
Course of fire: The standard 90 round course will be fired with the exception that all firing will be at 25 yards. Targets do not turn so timing will be by stop watch and verbal commands. All scoring will be after 10 rounds.
Slow Fire: 20 rounds, 2 strings of 10 rounds each fired in 10 minutes. One malfunction will be allowed for slow fire.
National Match Course: 30 shots, 10 slow fire, 10 timed fire and 10 rapid fire. Timed fire will be fired as 2 strings of 5 rounds each, 20 seconds per string. Rapid fire will be fired as 2 strings of 5 rounds each, 10 seconds per string. One malfunction will be allowed for the National Match Course.
Timed Fire: 4 strings of 5 rounds each, 20 seconds per string. One malfunction will be allowed for Timed Fire.
Rapid Fire: 4 strings of 5 rounds each. 10 seconds per string. One malfunction will be allowed for Rapid Fire.
Aggregate: 90 rounds, 900 points.
Awards: 50% of entry fees will be awarded as follows. Less than 6 shooters, match winner only; 6 – 10 shooters, winner and 2nd place; 11-15 shooters, winner, 2nd & 3rd place; 16-20 shooters, winner, 2nd , 3rd and 4th place. All awards will be cash. As the interest in this competitions develops we will look at trophies or other awards.
If there are more than four (4) revolver shooters, there will be a separate award for the high revolver.
If there is sufficient interest we will add a center fire match to future competitions.
