Congressman Crawford Announces August Schedule and Public Meetings

Congressman Rick Crawford today announced his August schedule and public meetings for the First District.  The schedule includes 30 destinations throughout the district.  Congressman Crawford will meet with constituents and job creators in an effort to form partnerships and build support for the Balanced Budget Amendment.  Crawford’s goal is to discuss how the Balanced Budget Amendment will address the long term issues of fiscal solvency and will reign in years of out-of-control spending and growth of government.

“I am looking forward to visiting with job creators and constituents across the First District as we work together on addressing our National debt, created by both Democrats and Republicans.” said Crawford.  “During the August recess, I plan on building broad support for what I believe is a long term solution that will provide economic certainty for our job creators and will help get Arkansans back to work.  That solution is the Balanced Budget Amendment.”

Congressman Crawford will spend time during the August Recess discussing with job creators and constituents the merits of the Balanced Budget Amendment.  He will discuss the reasoning behind its long term benefits for stability in our economy and how it’s a solution to a problem that has been created by both Democrats and Republicans over time with uncontrolled spending on wasteful programs and projects.

“There is $100 billion being added each month to our national debt by years of both Democrat and Republican overspending.  The partisan attitude that has plagued Washington for many years has shown that Washington has cared more about its own agenda than the American people.  I believe that if all the parties work together to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment, the American people, the private sector, and our financial markets will have certainty and a belief that Washington is indeed making the tough decisions that will have a great and positive impact on our all of our futures.”

Crawford will have the following times where constituents can come and visit about issues or concerns that they have across the First District:
