Congressman French Hill to Present Military Medals to Family of WWII Veteran

Little Rock, Arkansas – Congressman French Hill (AR-02) will present military medals to the family of Arkansas native and World War II Army Air Corps Lt. Calvin Regnier who died in service to his country.

The ceremony will be held at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. CT to 3:00 p.m. CT.
In the bombing raid of the Nakajima Aircraft of Works at Ota, Japan on February 10, 1945, Lt. Regnier and his crew were lost. Though his body was never recovered, a memorial stone in his memory stands at the Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Lt. Regnier earned the Purple Heart, the Air Medal, the WWII Victory Medal, and the Honorable Service Lapel Button, but his family never received them. Congressman Hill will have the honor of presenting these well-deserved medals to Lt. Regnier’s family.

The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History will host the ceremony. Ron Fuller, Chairman of the Museum’s History Board, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the program.
