Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement in response to Hewlett Packard’s decision to lay off employees at its Conway facility:

“My heart goes out to all of those affected by Hewlett Packard’s announcement. This is terrible and heartbreaking news for the workers, their families and all of Arkansas, and I will work with state and local leaders to help those impacted. HP’s decision to restructure its business does not change the fact that Conway and Arkansas remain great places for high tech companies to call home, but it highlights why strengthening the economy and encouraging job growth remain my top priorities.”
