Congressman Griffin Joins Natural Gas & Sportsmen’s Caucus

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) today issued the following statement regarding his participation in the bipartisan Congressional Natural Gas &  Sportsmen’s Caucus for the 112th Congress:

“Natural gas is a clean energy source and has strengthened our state’s economy. The Fayetteville Shale has provided great economic opportunity for Arkansans, resulted in quality private sector jobs, and helps make America more energy independent. I look forward to promoting the use of this important domestic resource as a member of the Natural Gas Caucus.”

The Congressional Natural Gas Caucus is a bipartisan group of Members of the U.S. House of Representatives dedicated to championing the use of clean, plentiful, domestic natural gas. It informs and educates Members of Congress and the American people about natural gas. Its mission is to work on federal policy that promotes: (1) responsible exploration; (2) safe transmission; and (3) expanded use of natural gas.

“Arkansas’s natural beauty is celebrated around the world and our state is a premier destination for hunting and fishing. I am proud to join this bipartisan caucus to defend the rights of sportsmen to enjoy the great outdoors.”

Founded in 1989, the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus has nearly nearly 300 members representing almost all 50 states. With bipartisan leadership in both the House and the Senate, the Caucus is the sportsmen’s ally and first line of defense in Washington promoting and protecting the rights of hunters, trappers and anglers.
