Crews will begin work next week in the westbound main lanes of Interstate 40 west of Atkins (Exit 94). Drivers will encounter nightly lane closures from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m., beginning Tuesday, January 3, weather permitting.
Weekend nightly lane closures will occur from 8 p.m. Friday night to 10 a.m. Saturday morning, weather permitting.
Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane of traffic for six miles—between Exit 94 and Exit 88.
Portable message boards, signs, drums, and Arkansas Highway Police will alert traffic.
This project, Job 080580, will resurface 10 miles of Interstate 40, including the ramps for two interchanges. Blackstone Construction, LLC, of Russellville won the $19,085,165 contract earlier this year.
