Construction Requires Overnight Lane Closures on Interstate 49 in Benton County

Pavement work on Interstate 49 in Lowell and Rogers requires lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the inside lane of northbound Interstate 49 will be closed for shoulder work between State Highway 264 (Exit 78) and New Hope Road (Exit 83). The overnight lane closure will occur Wednesday, July 11 through Wednesday, July 18, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Traffic will be controlled using barrels and construction signage. The public is advised to be cautious if traveling in this work zone and are encouraged to find alternative routes to avoid the interstate closure.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at or You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
