Construction to Close U.S. Highway 62/State Highway 102 for 15-minute Intervals in Bentonville

Crews placing bridge beams over U.S. Highway 62/State Highway 102 in Bentonville will require closing all lanes for multiple 15-minute intervals, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.

Beginning Tuesday night, October 3, eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 62/102 will be closed between Phyllis Street and Southeast Eagle Way to allow crews to hang bridge beams at the I-49 overpass over the highway. Traffic using the I-49 off ramps at Exit 86 may be impacted during the closures and should consider alternate routes.

Weather permitting; workers will close the lanes for 15-minute intervals between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., from Tuesday, October 3 to Thursday, October 5. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and flaggers.

This project (Job CA0902) is part of ArDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 3.5 miles of I-49 to three lanes in each direction. The work extends from Highway 62/102 to Highway 72 and includes constructing auxiliary lanes from Highway 62/102 toward Southeast Walton Boulevard.
