Conway Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast set for 6:30-11:30 a.m. May 1

Conway Rotary Club is warming up for its Toad Suck Daze Pancake Breakfast set for 6:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at St. Joseph’s Parish Fellowship Hall at Front and College Streets.

Tickets are $5 each for all-you-can-eat pancakes and Toad Sausage. Proceeds go to scholarships to local colleges for local students.

The Rev. John Gierke, a vice president of Conway Rotary Club, is chairing the event this year with veteran sausage cookers and pancake flippers poised to take on their annual chores.

“We especially invite Toad racers and others hungry for something to eat that isn’t on a stick. But if they insist, we’ll put a pancake on a stick, but we take no responsibility for dripping syrup,” Gierke said.

Tickets are available at the door and from Conway Rotary Club members.

Sponsors are Central Baptist College, U.S. Compounding, Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden, Conway Corp. Cody Hiland, Taco Bueno, Conway Regional Health System, Smith Ford, CPA Barbara Money, Conway Cast Stone, Greg and Joan Shofner, Dairy Queen, Independent Living Services, Insta-Print, Nabholz Construction Services, NBMC General Contractors, Regions Bank, Rep.
