Title: Conway Women’s Chorus Presents Spring Concert May 5th
Description: It’s SPRING and “Love in Bloom” is the theme for Conway Women’s Chorus. We will sing about love in all its funny, serious and exciting ways. Our program will include Emily Dickinson poetry, a folk song that was recently covered by Alison Krause, as well as selections from the hit show Glee. For our baby boomers and fans of classic jazz, we will take you down memory lane with Ain’t no Mountain High Enough and Etta James’ At Last. We’ll also visit the Nashville classic country with Patsy Cline’s Crazy. Joining us is Shannah Cummings, Academy and UACCM vocal instructor, and three of her students. Their Broadway selections will add to the afternoon’s theme, taking a humorous look at young love! Admission is free, so come join the fun! The event will be held on May 5th at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Conway.
