Corps Lakes Hosting Hunt for Individuals with Disabilities

Vicksburg, Ms… The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting a special hunting event on Lake Ouachita, Lake Greeson, and DeGray Lake.  These special events will provide a unique recreational opportunity for individuals who have a permanent physical condition, severely impairing their mobility. The Lake Greeson event is scheduled for October 10 -11. The Lake Ouachita is scheduled for October 21-22, and the DeGray Lake event is scheduled for October 26-28.
Greeson Lake is near Murfreesboro, Lake Ouachita is near Hot Springs and DeGray Lake is near Arkadelphia.
This hunt is an effort to provide access, facilities and other needed resources to enable these individuals to enjoy a safe and quality recreational experience.   These hunts were developed through a cooperative effort between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg Districts, Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and the Disabled Sportsmen of Arkansas. Appropriate measures have been taken to insure that sound wildlife conservation practices are used and all safety concerns are met. Local Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Wildlife Officers will be on hand to ensure the safety of the Participant’s in this special hunt.
