The dedication of the new Downtown Park in Newport is drawing near and bricks will soon be installed! If you want a brick in any of the four following categories then you need to purchase them before August 30th to guarantee that they are installed prior to the dedication.
You can buy bricks in the following categories:
Veterans who have lived in Jackson County
Veterans who have never lived in Jackson County but who have immediate family living in Jackson County
Sponsor a brick for a veteran who was killed in action (see link to the list in section below)
Bricks in memory of someone you would like to remember
Bricks in honor of someone you would like to honor.
You can also check out who already has a brick coming in one of the sections below! See who others are honoring with their purchase. Bricks cost $100 for three lines or $110 for four lines. All proceeds from the bricks go to developing the Veterans Memorial and the Park!
Bricks in the park on Front Street in Newport are available through D.R.I.V.E. and can be ordered from the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce and the Newport Economic Development Commission office. You can download the attached forms for bricks or call the office at 870-523-1009 for more information. Don’t forget, August 30th is the deadline to guarantee installation at the dedication!
