Downtown Art Walk Friday, May 5

Get downtown this Spring to explore the arts! The Batesville Area Arts Council is collaborating with Lyon College art students to host an Art Walk on Main Street Friday, May 5 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. The event is a self-guided viewing of artwork in Downtown Batesville, and is FREE and open to the public for all ages. 

The Batesville Area Arts Council’s Gallery on Main (226 E Main) will host a reception for their 11th Annual National Juried Exhibition. This year’s exhibition features the work of 16 artists from 7 different states. The juror for BAAC’s 11th Annual National Juried Exhibition is Carey Voss, an Arkansas artist and Curator of Exhibits at Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock. Members and exhibiting artists are invited to join us for a member-only Happy Hour at BAAC, 4 – 5 p.m.  Awards will be announced starting at 6 p.m. 

Lyon College Art students will have their artwork displayed on the third floor of Lander’s Theater (332 E Main). Gallery 246(243 E Main) will also showcase their featured artist of the month, Jeanette Emerson, during the Art Walk.
