Fairfield Bay Jazz Concert September 14th

North Central Arkansas Foundation for Arts and Education (NCAFA&E) presents an encore performance by The Cleveland Duo and James Umble, Sunday, September 14, 2008, 3 to 5 P.M. at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church on Dave Creek Parkway in Fairfield Bay. If you missed the concert last year here is an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful musical program that ranges from traditional and familiar classical to folk, ethnic, avant garde and even jazz. The Cleveland Duo, with Carolyn and Stephen Warner on piano and violin, combines with the nationally-known saxophonist James Umble to form this dynamic threesome. Stephen and Carolyn Warner are 20-year members of the renowned Cleveland Orchestra. As the Cleveland Duo and James Umble ensemble they have also had a major chamber music career with acclaimed performances worldwide. Dr. James Umble is a very active solo and chamber musician, receiving numerous awards and recognition both nationally and internationally. These three artists are virtual pioneers in the world of chamber music combining violin, piano and saxophone. They have found great success using this repertoire with the saxophone playing a central role as a solo and concerted voice.
