Fairfield Bay Library To Host Community Fish Fry

The Fairfield Bay Library will be hosting a Community Fish Fry on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Woodland Mead Park Pavilion in Fairfield Bay.  John 3:16 Ministries will be catering the event and serving up their amazing catfish/chicken dinners.

The Fairfield Bay Library is a 501c3 charity and has been serving the Fairfield Bay community since the early 1970’s.  The Library has one paid employee and a very dedicated staff of Volunteers that help keep the doors open to the public 6 days a week.  The building the Library is housed in today was built in the fall of 2000 and is starting to show its age.  The roof needs to be replaced at an approximate cost of $50,000 and the walls under the metal siding are also in need of repair.   There is no estimate for the wall repair yet, but is also expected to run in the thousands.  The Library was closed many months in 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, and all fundraising efforts with the exception of our Golf Tournament were cancelled.  We’re hoping to start off this “Repair Campaign” with a bang and are hopeful the Fairfield Bay Community will get behind us, come out enjoy some great food and help us start getting our building repaired!

The John 3:16 Catering guys cook up a huge meal consisting of catfish, chicken, cole slaw, French fries, hush puppies, pickles and onions along with a drink…there’s seriously enough food for at least two meals!  The cost per meal will be $18 and a good portion of that will come back to the Library to help us start getting our building back in shape so it can last another 20+ years!  We’re inviting everyone to purchase a ticket, come on down to the Woodland Mead Park Pavilion, sit in the shade of the pavilion, or bring a lawn chair and enjoy some music by Fairfield Bay’s own Sean Sikes.  OR, if you’d prefer, just drive on through, our Volunteers will hand you your meal and you can eat It in the comfort of your home, on the boat, or anywhere you’d like!  And keep in mind the cost of your meals is completely tax deductible as are all donations to the Library!

Tickets can be purchased at the Fairfield Bay Library, or through our Volunteers.
